| I had tried to learn spanish before, but was unsuccessful. Working
one on one with a native speaker was the difference for me! Now I have
no trouble talking to Spanish speakers! ~Devan B. |
The big difference for me was just being forced to speak whether or
not it sounded right. I got over my fear of sounding funny when speaking
Chinese, so I was able to actually learn how to speak fluently! ~Ben L. |

| I had been living in the United States for 15 years, and could
barely speak any English. All my friends, family, and neighbors all
spoke Spanish. I always had the goal to learn English. I even tried
going to night school. It wasn’t until my husband and I moved to a new
community that I realized I had to make a change. The only way for me to
make new friends was to learn English. Using language immersion was the
only way for me to break out of my shell. It was hard at first, but now
I am 100% fluent. ~Maria A. |
I took 3 years of Spanish in high school, and I could barely
communicate at all. I understood the grammar, but I could not speak it.
I was planning on going down to South America, but knew that I would be
in trouble unless I learned how to speak Spanish more effectively. By
speaking with a native speaker for just 5 weeks, I was able to
communicate effectively. 5 weeks with a native speaker helped me more
than 3 years of high school Spanish. ~Layne F. |
